Fortnum & Mason

After I finished the honey drink that brought from home, I put the Fortnum & Mason teaback into the La Gaurmet thermalwae and make myself a hot tea. I decided to share what I know about Fortnum’s here since it’s mid night shift and nothing much really in hand too.

I was introduced this brand/department store by Sara when we met in London last November.  She told me that it’s a famous brand with special royal connection in it’s history.  It was approaching Christmas 2009 and the store was decorated beautifully. Well, the glass wall was closed with some special secret within.  Oh yea, the store was located at Piccadilly, central London.  I visited the store 2 times, once with Sara and another with Hup.  Bought chocolate and tea leaf from there too.  If you happen to drop by, do remind me for a Fortnum’s tea ya.

So, what’s the history that Fortnum’s has with regards to royal family? For this, I got to ask Wikipedia.

Well, besides the tea leaf, the other thing that I really love from Fortnum’s is the perfum.  It was ‘natural’.  Well, costly, of cause.

When I visited Fortnum’s for the first time with Sara, the glass door was covered.  The second time I went with Hup, the secret was revealed! See below, for the decoration in the glass wall.

Travel journal coming soon!

Dear all bloggers and friends out there that has been visiting my personal blog which we have been sharing story and pieces of life together at a point of time. As what I talk to David, there are few purpose of me blogging. A major  one would be to keep a record of my life thus I would be reading it in the future remembering my history.  I believe that life is a series of moments. I am creating the history for my life that it worth to record. Secondly, to share story or useful information with the reader like you and me. There was a reader Lux from France that actually sent me his resume for any position in my current company BAT GSD! I have submitted the resume to the HR for review.

It has come to a new stage for my blogging. I am planning to make it a income stream. Not sure how would it be but let’s work it out.  As journalism and photography are both my ‘intimate’ hobbies, I believe both would help me a lot in getting informative and useful blog.  As a start, I would venture into travel journal.  I did some personallity test and the outcome is, I am a person that can do great research and share information in a way where people would be able to absorb and understand easily.  I have been travelling last year. Personal experience is a compliment.  I would research on the country/place of travel as well as the information required for travellers as well as recommendation.

Thus, Travel Journal is in the process. Hope that besides being a ‘history’ of my travel journal, it could be a useful reference for you all.

This is an announcement for the travel journal launching. Soft launch will be on this weekend Valentine Day. The official launching will be on 22/2/2009.

News from London

I really miss KL now! Though my flight back KL is tomorrow UK time 12pm in the noon.

Being away for a week in Southampton for training and discussion with some solutions people in the Southampton office. It is just so coincident that my BF is having his business trip to London for 2 months. Thus, I am now in his apartment in Cloydon Croydon, somewhere 15mins away from the London city.

First time travelling to UK, it’s beginning of autumn, weather is around 15 degree C. Sometime at night, it goes as low as 10 degree C.

I really love shopping here and that’s the first thing I did after checking in the hotel.

Ok, being in KL for many years, London is a few times busier than KL. I don’t like it personally. Anyway, I always complaint that the shops close too early in the evening. Well, that’s their life here.

Dinner with everyone in the Southampton office and supplier and GLP officer. Was a happy night cause I get to meet people that I used to email and talk over the phone! They served really good potato during the meal too.

Journey to the east – Ma’ Daerah Terengganu

It was a Friday ( 15/08 ) morning. Participants has to personally took leave, to make it a 3 days 2 night trip. With some bags and gadgets, we gathered ourselves at the lobby early in the morning, 9am. While waiting for the bus, some of us did some testing on the camera. Some has the point and shot, several hold DLSR. The trend of using DSLR is getting popular and common. It is an expensive hobby I would say. In fact, it needs more skills and efforts too. Of cause, the results worth everything when you get the beautiful shots that you want.

It is a 6 hours journey.

For me, it wasn’t too long. I love to travel in VIP bus as I get the comfort and to relax. Along the journey, we chatted, we played, we enjoyed. I hope it’s a longer one cause I always enjoy the thoughts that go through my mind while the scenery is moving off like a movie. It makes my mind function at the right pace and right mood.

Being standing behind the camera all the time, hardly take photo of myself. And this one, Adam took it when I was taking him. That was during lunch at Sri Jaya, Pahang.

‘I am loving it’

I don’t think I can forget this line for the rest of my life. Being a fans of McD, I love the nuggets the most. And for the very first time, I have photo taken with Ronald McDonald. This was at Kerteh. I learned the name of the place in Geography during high school. It has something to do with Petroleum? We waited there for half an hour, for the sanctuary officer to pick us to the camp.

After 10mins drive in the 4-wheel-drive Ford that the sanctuary officer drove, we reached the sanctuary.

Oh ya sandy beaches, here I come! 😀
